This is the driving experience of Virginia Wolfe.
As an owner of the 2025 Subaru Forester, my driving experience has been absolutely elevated ever since I got the Roboinfinity Car Thermal Night Vision. Let me start with the most reassuring part – this camera delivers excellent performance. Since it’s been installed, it has not interfered with the car’s EyeSight camera at all, and its compatibility is truly impeccable!

There was a little hiccup during the initial installation. I first tried sticking it on the dashboard, but the textured, indented surface made the Velcro stick fast nowhere. I finally switched gears and mounted it on the right side of the steering wheel using an air vent phone holder. Mounting it a bit higher actually made it easy to use. For a neater interior, I specially added a dashboard cover to hide the wires, and installed the camera at the center of the rear part of the car hood. After a bit of tinkering, I finally got a setup that’s both sleek and sturdy.

The street in front of my house has no streetlights, making visibility really poor at night – and the Roboinfinity has exceeded all my expectations in this scenario. It detects deer by the roadside and pedestrians in dark clothing with incredible sensitivity, so I no longer drive with my heart in my mouth. While rainy weather may slightly blur the camera’s live view, the thermal signal detection is not affected in the slightest, and obstacles ahead are still displayed clearly. That sense of security is absolutely priceless! It also has an ultra-practical feature: when oncoming traffic impairs your vision, you can still clearly see the road ahead with it, completely eliminating blind spots during night-time passing.
What I’m most looking forward to next is my self-driving trip to Yellowstone National Park in May – this will be a major test for the Roboinfinity. I’m extremely curious to see if it can accurately detect bison in the park, and I’m already thrilled about this real-world test!

Of course, I have a small suggestion for the brand: it would be great to add a connector near the screen unit. This way, I can easily unplug and stow it away after parking, which would prevent theft and protect the device at the same time.
All in all, getting the Roboinfinity was definitely the right choice. Once properly installed, it has become my "second pair of eyes" for driving on dark roads – reliable and practical every step of the way. I still love this thermal night vision to this day, and truly believe it’s the perfect companion for the car!
